Angry Anurag Kashyap Posts Journalist's Contact Online, Channel Demands Apology, Contemplates Lawsuit
Anurag Kashyap often attracts the public's ire for expressing his controversial views on social media platforms. And this time a Facebook post has landed him in trouble.

Well, it so happened that Anurag was contacted by a young reporter from a leading TV channel, requesting an interview after his headline-grabbing statements about Prime Minister Narendra Modi (You Haven’t Said Sorry For Your Trip To Meet Pakistani PM: Anurag Kashyap Lashes Out At PM Narendra Modi, Oct 16).

Anurag didn't want to speak to her claiming that her publication was "irresponsible and headline seeking". Fair Enough!

However, that was not all.

When this young woman kept prodding Anurag, he lost his cool and responded by sharing a screenshot of the conversation on his Facebook account. The post read, "This is the media outside my house when I am not there...looking for a headline."

But Kashyap had inadvertently revealed the journalist's contact number in the sceenshot. The young female journalist's private number was now available to the some 1 lakh followers of Anurag Kashyap.

Soon enough she started getting calls and lewd messages from strangers. So much so, she even got a few messages from our neighbouring country Pakistan.

Furious at the incident, the journalist informed her organisation about Anurag's act and now they are contemplating legal action against the filmmaker. Talking about the same Prabal Pratap Singh, Consulting Editor of the national news channel said:  "Anurag has deleted the post from his Facebook account, but we still want an apology from his end. My legal team is looking into the matter as to what action we should take."

Anurag has a long and troubled history with mediapersons and this is just the latest chapter in it. But will the threat of a lawsuit make him mend his ways? Let's wait and watch.
