Anil Kapoor Fine With Aib Mocking Him
The actor plays it cool when asked about the AIB Knockout which poked fun at him
The hoopla around the AIB Knockout that made fun of Bollywood refuses to die down.
Among those targeted was Arjun Kapoor’s uncle Anil Kapoor. So, yesterday when SpotboyE met Anil at the GIMA Awards, we asked him his opinion on the roast. He said, "I havent seen the video. But its good if someone mocks you. The more people mock the more the audiences get to know about you."
His statement is in strong support of his daughter Sonam's comment, which said, "I love the comments that AIB has already made. It doesnt matter what the content is, people should be allowed to put out anything that they feel. I dont believe in censorship."
For those who have come in late, Sonam was involved in a war of words over AIB with filmmaker and social activist Ashoke Pandit.
Pandit had said: I support #MaharashtraGovts inquiry into #AIB a porn show on stage. Did the police give permission to #AIB even after they knew what B stands for? Was the script of #AIB which was a stage play approved by the authorities which approve plays?
Sonam opposed his statement with her tweet: @ashokepandit comes across as a homophobic misogynistic loser. Are we really trying to curb freedom of speech and expression?
