Anil Kapoor Reacts To Reports Of Being Upset With Ranveer Singh And Deepika Padukone
At the ongoing International Film Festival of India at Goa, Anil Kapoor responds to the buzz that he is upset with Ranveer Singh And Deepika Padukone for not being invited to their wedding
During Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh’s wedding at Lake Como, Italy, speculations were rife that Anil Kapoor and family are upset with the actor for not inviting them to their nuptials despite being related the Bhavnani family. For the uninitiated, Sonam and Ranveer are second cousins. The actress’ nani (maternal grandmother) and the actor’s dadaji (paternal grandfather) are siblings.
However, Anil dismissed the rumours at the ongoing International Film Festival of India (IFFI) at Goa, where he attended a panel discussion with daughter, Rhea Kapoor. He said, “I don’t know where the news of me being upset with Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone for not calling me came from. I am going to their reception on December 1 and I am looking forward.”

DeepVeer tied the knot on November 14 and 15 according to the Konkani and Sindhi customs respectively. On the evening of November 15, the couple dropped their first wedding pictures and they had love written all over them. On November 18, they returned to Mumbai and were welcomed by a crowd of over 300 people. The newlyweds were all smiles at the shutterbugs as they headed towards their car.
On November 20, the two left for Bengaluru to host their first reception in India. The actress opted for a golden saree gifted to her by her mother and paired it with Sabyasachi jewellery. The groom looked dapper in a Rohit Bal creation. Anil Kumble, Venkatesh Prasad, PV Sindhu and Pullela Gopichand among others attended the do. Now, all eyes are on tonight where the couple is hosting a wedding reception for relatives, friends and journalists. We can’t wait.
