On a recent Monday, Adnan Sami took to expressing his support for the film in a lengthy statement, urging people to cease excessive scrutiny, overthinking, and moral policing of movies. Referencing classics like Amar Akbar Anthony, Sholay, and Deewar, Sami defended the creative freedom of artists, advocating for their right to convey their artistic vision without constraints. Netizens slammed the singer inside out for supporting such a 'vulgar' movie that might have a bad influence on the society. The singer's post also went viral on several social media platforms including Reddit, where netizens brutally trolled him. However, some of them also agreed with the 'Lift Kara De' hitmaker.

A comment surfaced, suggesting, "Ask Adnan to experience a gender reversal, living as a woman for a day. Similarly, encourage Manoj sir and Kashyap to do the same. Then, perhaps they could watch the film with the understanding that it's just a movie, unlike the experiences of ordinary men. Anyone can indeed make any film, but let's avoid limited perspectives. Privileged cisgender heterosexual men should refrain from such one-dimensional conversations for the greater good."
