She recently addressed the controversy surrounding this particular scene. Reflecting on the scene, Laila Majnu star mentioned an important lesson from her acting coach: "Never judge your character." She emphasized that all characters, including those portrayed by co-actors, encompass both positive and negative aspects. While he did ask her to perform that act (lick his shoe), he eventually walks away. It's evident he's grappling with intense thoughts and emotions. Later, when his cousin inquires about handling her, he opts to let her go wherever she pleases."
