Trust Anupam Kher to experiment with roles on television. This time around he plays a football coach in TV actor Prabhat Bhattacharya's debut venture Kaanu.
The film focusses on the relationship between a coach and his pupil, and Kher plays the role of Vishwajeet Sarkar. Kher before starting to shoot for the role, will undergo rigorous training and learn the nuances of football.
The film will feature Indian football players, who will play for a fictitious football league. The climax will be shot in Kolkata's Salt Lake Stadium.
