Anurag Kashyap Irked Over Ekta Kapoor’s Collaboration With #MeToo Accused Former Partner Vikas Bahl?
Reportedly, the news of Ekta Kapoor working with #MeToo accused Vikas Bahl hasn’t gone down well with his former partner, Anurag Kashyap
Not very long, the #MeToo movement had taken Bollywood by a storm after a streak of celebrities were accused of sexual misconduct. Among many others, the list also included filmmaker and Phantom’s former associate Vikas Bahl, who was alleged of harassment by an employee during the shooting of Queen. As a consequence of the same, Phantom Films was not only dissolved but it also ended in a strained relationship between Bahl and Anurag Kashyap, who were co-producers. Bahl was, however, given a clean chit. Now, as per a report in Midday, it looks like Kashyap is no mood to forgive the filmmaker anytime soon.
The speculated story reveals how Ekta Kapoor’s reported collaboration with Vikas Bahl has exasperated the Bombay Velvet filmmaker. Reason? Reportedly, Kapoor is all set to produce Vikas Bahl’s upcoming father-daughter comedy. The producer, at the same time, also has a sci-fi film lined up with Anurag Kashyap, which is going to be co-produced by Sunil Kheterpal. Well, the fact that Ekta is going to collaborate with Vikas Bahl hasn’t gone down very well with Kashyap, as he had openly criticised the former after his name was revealed amid the #MeToo movement.
Anurag, when contacted by Midday, refused to share his two cents on the Vikas Bahl film. He said, “A year ago, I signed a film with Sunil Kheterpal, back by Balaji. I have no idea about anything else.”
