Actor Anushka Sharma is always up for various and unique philanthropic work! She is often seen starting her new initiative or is joining hands with some organisations to help society. This time, she has decided to sell off her beautiful and fashionable maternity clothes for charity post her delivery. That’s right! She took to her Instagram account to announce her new initiative of selling off the maternity clothes on Salt Scout with the help of a Nonprofit Organisation. She shared the website link where all her maternity clothes are up for sale.
She wrote on her Instagram, “I'm thrilled to launch my new initiative, through which I've shared some of my favourite maternity wear for an online charity sale, with proceeds supporting maternal health through @snehamumbai_official” The garments are priced from around Rs 850 to Rs 3000 which is pretty affordable. So, all the expectant moms out there, spice up your wardrobe by buying some of Anushka’s maternity fashion clothes. Along with the announcement, she attached a video and shared an interesting fact. She is giving out her clothes for auction where the organisation will save water as much as a person drinks in over 200 years.
Her note further read, “Fun fact: if even just 1% of pregnant women in urban India bought 1 piece of maternity clothing preloved over newly manufactured, EACH YEAR we can conservatively save about as much water as a person drinks in over 200 years!!”
Meanwhile, during the second wave, Anushka and her husband Virat Kohli had announced that they have started a fund-raising campaign, #InThisTogether to help people who are suffering in the crisis.
