Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli announced that they are expecting their first child in August, last year. Now, Bollywood and cricket world’s adorable couple Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli welcomed their first baby – a girl – on Jan 11, i.e., Monday afternoon. It was the proud dad Kohli, who took to his Instagram handle to share the good news with fans and revealed that new mom Anushka and their baby girl are doing fine and they are feeling beyond blessed. Soon after Virat Kohli announced the arrival of their little bundle of joy, the who’s who from the entertainment and cricket fraternity congratulated the couple.

Anushka Sharma’s Dil Dhadakne Do co-star Priyanka Chopra too took to her Twitter handle to send warm wishes for the new parents. Sending hugs and love for the newborn, PCJ Tweeted, “Soooo happy for you guys. Congratulations to you and @AnushkaSharma. Big hug and much love especially to your lil princess.” Yesterday, Sachin Tendulkar also sent his warm wishes for Virushka in his recent Tweet that read, “Congratulations @imVkohli & @AnushkaSharma on the arrival of the little angel in your lives! May her life be blessed with good health & love.”

Virat Kohli had written in his announcement post, “We are thrilled to share with you that we've been blessed with a baby girl this afternoon. We thank you all for your love, prayers, and good wishes. Anushka and the baby are both healthy and we are feeling beyond blessed to start this new chapter of our lives. We hope that you can respect our privacy at this time. Love, Virat (sic).”
