Aparshakti Khurana On Embracing Fatherhood: ‘Ayushmann Bhaiyya Is A Great Father And I Am Inspired By Him’
Aparshakti Khurana and his wife Aakriti Ahuja Khurana became parents to a baby girl Arzoie on Friday. The actor shared the happy news with the world via an adorable post on his social media. While Aparshakti is currently enjoying this new phase of his life, he opened up about embracing fatherhood, recollecting the moment when he held his newborn baby in his hands for the first time and more. He also spoke about what advice his brother Ayushmann Khurrana and sister-in-law Tahira Kashyap gave him.

While speaking with Bombay Times, Aparshakti stated, “Growing your family with the love of your life is a great feeling. We were a little stressed about the baby’s birth, but by God’s grace, it went smoothly. I can’t thank God enough for being so kind to us. We feel truly blessed.”

Talking about the moment when the actor held his daughter in his hands for the first time, the proud father said he just can't put the feeling in words. “We spent the entire second lockdown in anticipation of the baby’s arrival, and there I was, finally holding her in my arms. To see that this little baby is half me and half the person I love is so heart-warming,” he added.

Aparshakti Khurana also revealed that initially when he would get nervous about becoming a father, he used to take inspiration from his brother Ayushmann.

“Ayush bhaiyya is a great father, and I have definitely been inspired by him. The one thing that I have learnt from him is to give your children the freedom to be themselves. We have also been taking tips from Ayush bhaiyya and his wife, Tahira. One piece of advice that we really liked was to get as much sleep as you can before the baby comes because once that happens, you lose out on it (laughs),” the actor further mentioned.

Aparshakti Khurana also talked about how he and Aakriti zeroed in on the name Arzoie for their daughter. He said, “We thought of over 100 names before shortlisting this. We also fondly address her by her nicknames — Zoiee and ZuZu.” Also Read: It’s A Girl For Aparshakti Khurana And Aakriti Ahuja; Couple Names Her Arzoie
