Arbaaz Khan Recalls The Family Facing Difficulty To Accept Helen As Salim Khan’s Second Wife; Says, ‘It Was A Very Complicated Scenario’
Arbaaz Khan opened up about his family accepting his father Salim Khan’s second wife Helen into their family
For the past few months, Bollywood actor Arbaaz Khan has been opening up about his family dynamics. While he recently interviewed his father Salim Khan step-mother Helen on his chat-show The Invincibles, during an interview, he too shed light on how it took a long time for the family to develop a bond with the actress.
Talking to Indian Express about the same, Arbaaz recalled that his mother Salma Khan had a really tough time. It was their father’s efforts to keep the family together and not neglect anyone that spoke to the family. He said, “It was difficult, especially for my mom. We were all quite young then. However, we saw that my father never neglected us or kept us deprived of anything. Also, as he spoke in my interview, the relationship was an emotional accident for him. He further added that it is not easy to have two wives, who are cordial and kids who are accepting. The 55-year-old actor said, “It’s not easy to say that these things are normal and it will work. Also, just because one such family can come together, doesn’t mean it can be replicated by others. It is not an easy thing having two wives who are cordial and children who are accepting. It’s a very complicated scenario and it’s tough to answer what, how, and why it all worked out. Arbaaz went on to say that it took a lot of effort from the entire family to stay together happily. Though it was an organic process that took a lot of time, his father was the pillar of strength that kept everyone connected.
For the unversed, Helen is renowned filmmaker Salim Khan’s second wife. He was married to Sushila Charak (now known as Salma Khan) for over two decades before his second marriage. They have four kids together - Salman Khan, Arbaaz, Alvira Khan Agnihotri and Sohail Khan. Helen and Salim adopted Arpita Khan Sharma, who is a proud mother to two kids with actor Ayush Sharma.
