There has been an unexpected snag in the filming of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s Fanney Khan. Ash plays a sexy pop star in the film and she was supposed to commence shooting today. She had committed two days of her time to the makers KriArj Entertainment, October 6 and 7. However, the shoot has been
postponed at her behest, suggest reports. The reason being, Ash is not
convinced with the costumes that designer Manish Malhotra has put together for
her.
Ash’s character is modelled on the likes of
Beyonce and she felt that the clothes Manish designed for her looked a little
too Indian and less edgy, for the part.

A source from the sets of Fanney Khan confirmed
the news to an online portal. While Aishwarya was extremely excited to begin
shoot for the film, where she plays the lead opposite Rajkummar Rao, but the
schedule has been postponed. They were to shoot on October 6 and 7, the crew wanted October 8 off for Karva Chauth. After that Aishwarya is
reportedly set to fly off to Maldives for her dad-in-law Amitabh Bachchan’s birthday.

Aishwarya was intoxicatingly charming in Ae Dil
Hai Mushkil, her portrayal of Saba left us wanting more. She is known to be a
thorough professional and while she is very particular about what she wears in
her movies, she has been even more involved with her look for Fanney Khan. Her
character needs to imbibe the finest in haute couture and edgy punk to make her
stand out. And if it means the cast has to wait a little for Ash to get
it spot-on, they will.

Manish will now rework the costumes, as per the
new brief from Ash and the cast will commence the shoot post Diwali. That’s one
more firecracker for the season!
