Arjun Kapoor Writes Emotional Letter To His 26-Year-Old Self As He Completes 13 Years In Bollywood: ‘The Journey Began With A Bullied Kid’
Actor Arjun Kapoor has completed 13 years in the Hindi film industry. On the anniversary of his debut film Ishaqzaade, which released on May 11, 2012, the actor took a moment to look back on his journey. He penned an emotional letter addressed to his 26-year-old self — the age at which he stepped into Bollywood — and shared it with his fans through Instagram.

Posting a throwback picture, Arjun began, “This is me at 26, nervous, unsure, excited & already looking for validation… I still am in many ways… but I’m not afraid anymore.” He acknowledged the emotional turbulence and insecurity he carried back then and confessed that even today, he often feels that same nervous energy. “I’ll always be that same boy at heart who gets petrified before every shot, before every scene, before every narration… but I’ve learnt it’s ok to be this person.”

Sharing the roots of his story, Arjun wrote, “The journey began with a bullied kid who was made to believe that he can’t do anything in life. 13 years ago, that boy debuted as a leading man in Hindi cinema.” He described his rise as unexpected and filled with self-doubt but also resilience.

He expressed deep gratitude to everyone who supported him: “I’m grateful for the brickbats, the criticisms, the trolling, the memes—they’ve all helped me become thick-skinned. I’m grateful for the praise, the love, the appreciation because it kept the fire burning within.”

Concluding the letter with encouragement to his younger self, he wrote, “Just hang in there… you are gonna be ok, and there are lots of people out there who’ve got your back.”

Arjun will next be seen in Rohit Shetty’s upcoming action film Singham Again.
