Article 370 To Be Revoked In Jammu And Kashmir: Zaira Wasim Shares Her Thoughts

This morning, Union Home Minister Amit Shah proposed scrapping Article 370 that gives special status to Jammu and Kashmir. According to Live Mint, Shah also said the government has decided to bifurcate the state into two Union Territories – Jammu and Kashmir, which will have a legislature, and Ladakh, which will be without a legislature. The announcement came after days of tension and turmoil that had rocked the Valley. A while back, we brought you reactions of Bollywood celebs. They voiced their opinions on the current situation.

Before Chetan Bhagat, Raveena Tandon, and Kangana Ranaut among others shared their thoughts, Zaira Wasim, who was recently in news for her withdrawal from Bollywood, took to social media to share her say something about the ongoing debate. This was much before a decision to revoke Article 370 was taken. At midnight Zaira wrote, “This too shall pass! #Kashmir.” After her tweet, when one of her followers DMed her to ask what exactly is happening in J&K, she replied to her follower and said even she ‘doesn't know and that if anyone gets to know the status, then she would like to be informed too."

Commenting on the latest development, Kangana released a statement and said, “Scrapping of article 370 was long due, it is a historic step in the direction of terrorism free nation, I have been emphasising on this for the longest time, and I knew if anyone could achieve this impossible feat that is Mr Modi, he is not only a visionary he has the required courage and strength of character to make unthinkable a reality  ... I congratulate entire Bharat including JnK on this historic day, we are together looking at a very bright future.”
