Manoj Bajpayee is one of the most versatile actors we have in Bollywood. The actor owns a Padma Shri award and two National Awards. Bajpayee has starred in some unsung masterpieces like Aligarh, Gali Guleiyan, Rukh, Gangs of Wasseypur 1 and 2, Love Sonia and now Bhonsle. Speaking of Bhonsle, the film has won big at the Asian Film Festival Barcelona 2019. According to Latestly, the film has won Best Screenplay and Best Director Award. Not may know of the film but this huge win might help people go and check the movie out. 

After the film was bagged with such honour, the director of the film Devashish was quoted saying by the portal, "To not only be recognised as an Asian film but to be awarded as one is an honour. The migrant issue explored in Bhonsle is one that is relevant to all of Asia if not the world. And it is a matter of hope and joy that this story of outsiders resonated this way. Any award a film like this wins is an award to the courageous team that collectively made the film."


Talking about the film, Bhonsle is a Hindi movie starring Manoj Bajpai in a prominent role. It is a film where a police constable played by Manoj tries to help the struggles of migrants and their battles with the local politicians. At a time when politicians use violence to rid Maharashtra of Bihari migrants, a dying Maharashtrian cop, Bhonsle (Manoj Bajpayee), finds unlikely companionship in 23-year-old Bihari Sita. It is a drama which is directed by Devashish Makhija.


Manoj Bajpayee was last seen in an Amazon Prime series The Family Man which was very well received by the audience. People have called this series a must-watch show.
