Ayodhya Ram Mandir Babri Masjid Court Verdict: PM Narendra Modi Along With Bollywood Celebrities Welcome The Judgement
In the history of India, the Supreme Court of India has announced a verdict on decades-old Ram Janmabhoomi-Babri Masjid land dispute case today. A 5-judge bench comprising CJI Ranjan Gogoi, Justice SA Bobde, JusticeDY Chandrachud, Justice Ashok Bhushan and Justice Abdul Nazeer have started pronouncing the long pending Ayodhya verdict. The ruling will mark the culmination of a dispute that has been at the heart of communal friction in the country for decades, states Economic Times.

According to ET, the Supreme Court said, “Title cannot be established by faith and belief. Sunni board wants possession of the masjid as a public mosque. Board claim is within time. They claim it was long, continuous and uninterrupted. But the court says it was never uninterrupted and constantly contested by the Hindus.”

Many Bollywood celebrities and also Prime Minister Narendra Modi have appealed for peace and harmony. PM tweeted, “The Supreme Court will rule on Ayodhya tomorrow. In the last few months, there was continuous hearing on this issue and the whole country was following it with curiosity. While the hearing was on, all sections of the society made efforts to maintain a harmonious atmosphere which is highly appreciated.”
