Ayushmann Khurrana and his quirky choices of movies compel the audiences to flock the theatres. From Andhadhun, Badhaai Ho to Shubh Mangal Savdhaan and his upcoming film, Bala, Ayushmann is ensuring that he is the next bankable actor in Bollywood. These are not only minting in good footfalls at the box-office but also gaining a lot of popularity and love from the people which is making his films a blockbuster one and the recent one to enter his the blockbuster list is Dream Girl starring himself and Nushrat Bharucha.

The film had a fantastic and had a dream run in the domestic markets. The film which released on September 13 is still continuing to have a strong-hold. The film has raked in Rs. 1.70 crore in its 5th weekend, taking the grand total to Rs. 139.70 crore. Going by the latest trend, it seems like people are still not over this film even after its sixth week since the release.


While Dream Girl recorded the biggest opening for Ayushmann, it has become his highest-grossing film, beating his own film, Badhaai Ho’s lifetime biz which was Rs. 137.61 crore. Interestingly, Dream Girl has also become the highest-grossing film for Ekta Kapoor’s Balaji Telefilms. Not only the film did wonders for Ayushmann and Balaji, it also did wonders for Nushrat.

Well, as Dream Girl has turned out to be a successful one, now all the eyes are on Bala starring Ayushmann, Bhumi Pednekar and Yami Gautam. The trailer received an amazing response from the audience and looking at his history, we are sure this film too will be a stunner at the box office.


Talking about Dream Girl, the film has been directed by Raaj Shaandilyaa and also starred Nushrat Bharucha, Annu Kapoor, Manjot Singh, Abhishek Banerjee, Rajesh Sharma, Vijay Raaz, Nidhi Bisht, Raj Bhansali in important roles.
