After dashing off to Jaisalmer, the shooting of Bachchan Pandey went on floors today. Two days back, Sajid Nadiadwala production’s official social media page shared a picture of the entire cast and crew announcing the shoot of the film. This afternoon, Kriti Sanon announced the good news of Bachchan Pandey going on the floors. After almost 1.5 years of its announcement, the shooting is finally seeing the light of the day. While we are all excited about the film we are surely missing Akshay Kumar in the pictures.

Sharing pictures from the Day 1 of the shoot Kriti Sanon wrote, “1st Day of 1st film shoot in 2021!! With the production that gave me my very 1st film!. #BachchanPandey Here we go... @wardakhannadiadwala @nadiadwalagrandson #SajidSir @akshaykumar @farhadsamji @sknadiadwala.” Earlier welcoming her onboard, the makers had tweeted about the same and re-tweeting the same, Sanon had written, “Thrilled and beyond excited for this reunion!! This Christmas is gonna be indeed a Merry Merry one! Can’t wait to start #BachchanPandey #SajidSir @akshaykumar @farhad_samji @WardaNadiadwala.”

Earlier speaking about Bachchan Pandey, Kriti Sanon had told Mumbai Mirror, “I had a blast working with them in Housefull 4 and super excited that we will be collaborating again. It’s my third film with Sajid sir and again, a very entertaining one.” For the uninitiated, after Housefull 4, Kriti Sanon is reunited with Akshay Kumar for Farhan Samji’s Bachchan Pandey. It is being said that Kriti will portray the role of a journalist in the film.

On the personal front, Kriti Sanon recently recovered from COVID. While shooting for a film in Chandigarh with Rajkummar Rao, the actress contracted the virus. However, a week later, the Bareilly Ki Barfi actress revealed that she’s COVID free.
