Bell Bottom: Akshay Kumar Starrer Postponed; Film Gets A New Release Date Of June 2021-REPORT
According to the latest report, the release date of Akshay Kumar’s upcoming film Bell Bottom has been postponed. The report mentioned that the film will release in June 2021, instead of April 2021
Bollywood hero Akshay Kumar was among the very first celebrities to get back to work and resume filming. Akshay started shooting for his upcoming film Bell Bottom, amidst the Coronavirus pandemic. He was also accompanied by wife Twinkle Khanna to Scotland, where the crew was set up. Within a matter of 35 days, the actor wrapped up the shooting of the film in a start-to-finish schedule. He announced that the film will release in April 2, 2021, during the Easter weekend. As per the latest reports, there is a significant development in the movie release date.
According to the latest report by Bollywood Hungama, the release date of Akshay Kumar’s upcoming film Bell Bottom has been postponed. The report mentioned that the film will release in June 2021, instead of April 2021. A source close to the development said, “The makers have decided to now delay the film by two months and bring it in June. The primary reason for the delay has got to do with the fact that Akshay Kumar’s Sooryavanshi is looking to release in the one-month window of March 15 to April 15. It would be stupid to bring two Akshay Kumar films in a span of 30 days on the big screen, particularly in between this pandemic.”
The source also revealed that the Bell Bottom is currently in the post-production stage. The insider mentioned in the report that by mid-February, the final edit is expected to be locked. The source said, “Yes, the film will be ready by mid-February and as things stand today, the makers are okay to hold it for two months more than the stipulated release date to bring it on the big screen.” Talking about the film releasing in theatres, the source in the report said that “it’s imperative to support cinema halls now” as the scenario on the ground is improving.

Meanwhile, the Akshay Kumar starrer also stars Vani Kapoor and Lara Dutta in pivotal roles. Vaani will be seen playing Akshay’s wife and Dutta will portray the role of India’s Prime Minister from the 1980s.
