Mrinal Sen Passes Away At 95
It’s the end of an era as Bengali filmmaker and Padma Bhushan awardee Mrinal Sen is no more. Sen, 95, breathed his last at his home in Bhawanipur, Kolkata on Sunday. Sen’s son, Kunal, lives in Chicago and reports suggest that Mrinal Sen’s body will only be cremated once he arrives.

As soon as the news of Sen’s demise spread, eminent actors such as Saumitra Chatterjee, Dhritiman Chatterjee and Aparna Sen, director Buddhadeb Dasgupta and Anjan Dutta expressed their grief.
