Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2: Akshay Kumar To Be Seen In The Sequel With Kartik Aaryan? Director Anees Bazmee Clears The Air
It was only recently that Kartik Aaryan took the internet by storm, thanks to his first look from the film Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, a sequel to Akshay Kumar’s Bhool Bhulaiyaa (2002). The posters featured the Sonu Ki Titu Ki Sweety actor in a tantrik’s avatar, as he hilariously posed with the skeletons. And despite all the hullaballoo, Kartik received a mixed response on social media. Why? Well, because he has stepped into the shoes of Akshay, who made Bhool Bhulaiyaa an iconic film that it is and thus, comparisons were bound to happen! Also, the look is heavily inspired by the original.

Amid all this, there were speculations that Akshay Kumar will be reprising his role in the sequel. Why won't anyone be kicked about that? And filmmaker Anees Bazmee, who is helming the film, in an interview with Bollywood Hungama, was quizzed about the same. To which, neither Anees confirmed the news, nor did he rubbish it. “I think it's too early for me to say anything about it. We are still working on the script. Let's see,” said the filmmaker.

In fact, the No Entry filmmaker added that he would love to have Akshay onboard. He further said, “I have done a lot of films with Akshay Kumar. Have great memories of shooting Welcome and Singh Is King. We share a great relationship. I'll be very happy if he is there in the film and too feels the same. So, right now I think it's too early to talk about it. Let's hope for the best.”

Meanwhile, Kartik Aaryan has got his kitty full with several biggies. He will be further seen alongside Janhvi Kapoor in Dostana 2, Imtiaz Ali’s Aaj Kal opposite Sara Ali Khan and in Pati Patni Aur Woh, which also stars Ananya Panday and Bhumi Pednekar. Someone’s clearly on a roll!
