Bhoot Police, Bachchan Pandey, Cirkus And Mr Lele: Bollywood Is Finally Gearing Up For Two-Heroine Films
From time immemorial, in our film industry, actresses have been pitted against each other, and more so when they are starring in the same film, but things are changing now. Gone are the days when actresses used to be apprehensive of sharing screen space with another actress. In the past few years, especially in the Gen-Z, actresses have become very secure about their place in the industry.

Recently, Farhan Akhtar announced his next directorial, Jee Le Zaraa, that features not one, not two but three leading actresses, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Katrina Kaif and Alia Bhatt. Ananya Panday did her first two films that had another heroine in them - Student Of The Year 2 with Tara Sutaria and Pati Patni Aur Woh with Bhumi Pednekar. And seems like the trend is here to stay.

Bhoot Police

The trailer of this horror comedy was released yesterday, and it features Saif Ali Khan, Arjun Kapoor, Jacqueline Fernandez and Yami Gautam. Jacqueline has previously also been part of multi-heroine films like Housefull franchise, but this is just the first of many two actresses’ films in her upcoming line up.

Bachchan Pandey

This Akshay Kumar-starrer is Jacqueline Fernandez’s second film in the long line up in which she shares the film with another heroine. The other actress here is Kriti Sanon.

Ram Setu

After Bachchan Pandey, Jacqueline and Akshay will reunite for this film, with a little difference. The third person in their story this time is Nushrratt Bharuccha.

Shakun Batra’s next

After doing Khaali Peeli as the solo heroine, Ananya Panday is back to another two-actress film as she stars with Deepika Padukone and Siddhanth Chaturvedi in Shakun Batra’s next. The shoot of the film was recently wrapped up.

Attack

Jacqueline is back at it again, and this time she reunites with her DIshoom and Housefull 2 co-star John Abraham, with the third person here being Rakul Preet Singh.

Cirkus

As Ranveer Singh reunites with his Simmba director Rohit Shetty for the remake of Shakespeare’s Comedy Of Errors, he brings along with him Jacqueline, Pooja Hegde and Varun Sharma.

Ek Villain Returns

After the success of last year’s Malang, Disha Patani reunites with her director Mohit Suri for the sequel to the 2014 film, Ek Villain, and this time she has John, Arjun and Tara Sutaria along for the ride.

Mr Lele

This film isn’t officially announced yet, but Kiara recently updated through her Instagram stories that she was shooting with Vicky Kaushal, and even though she didn’t put it in words, the film in question is Mr Lele, which also stars Bhumi Pednekar.
