Bhumi Pednekar Goes Dusky, Ayushmann Khurrana Loses Hair
Badhaai Ho actor is prematurely bald. Bhumi Pednekar is surrounded by people who are obsessed with fair skin. Gosh, that's quite a bit! It's all happening in Dinesh Vijan's next, Bala. This will be Bhumi and Ayushmann's second film after Dum Lagake Haisha. Bala, to be produced by Dinesh Bijan (Maddock Films). Mumbai Mirror carried the story this morning. According to Mirror, Ayushmann's role calls for prosthetics and Vijan is flowing down professionals from abroad to perform the same. No prizes for guessing that those professional artistes will have to work on Bhumi's character too.

Bhumi's character of a dusky girl trapped in a milieu where people are obsessed with fair skin, is also easy to identify with. When it comes to color, India has long celebrated fair and lovely skin only. A source tells SpotboyE.com, "Aren't a large number of men going prematurely bald nowadays? In fact, their number is fast increasing." Amar Kaushik who directed one of this year's biggest hits Stree will hold the directorial reins of Bala. Other modalities are fast being worked out. The film will go on floors, very soon.

According to Vijan, Amar was initially supposed to be only the Creative Director on Bala- but slowly got very involved and attached with the project.

Why Bala? Bal Aa Aaa Aaaa, It is a tongue-in-cheek pun on the story. Moreover, Bala is Ayushmann's nickname in the film.
