Bhushan Kumar and Divya Khossla’s separation rumours have been doing rounds after the actress removed her surname from her name on her Instagram handle
Director-actress Divya Khossla and producer Bhushan Kumar have been enjoying marital bliss for almost two decades now. Their relationship has stood the test of time. Despite being one of the most adored couples in B-town, it was heavily rumoured on Wednesday evening that the duo is heading towards a divorce. The rumours were given wind after she dropped her surname ‘Kumar’ from her social media handle and unfollowed T-Series on Instagram. Now, a spokesperson from the production house has dismissed the rumours.
According to a report by India Today, through a press statement, a T-Series spokesperson revealed that the couple is happily married. Shedding light on the same, they stated that there are a few ‘astrological beliefs’ as to why the Yaariyan 2 actress decided to drop ‘Kumar’ from her name. The statement also read that as a symbol of her beliefs, she has also added an ‘s’ to her maiden name.
Quoted by India Today, the statement read, “Divya Khossla's choice to drop her married surname, driven by astrological beliefs, is a personal decision and should be respected. Her addition of an 's' to her maiden surname, symbolising her astrological belief, is for the same thought.”
Talking about the separation speculation, it was heavily rumoured that Bhushan and Divya’s relationship is heading toward divorce. The rumours were given wind after the duo stopped making public appearances together during various events. Having been married for the last 19 years, they are blessed with a son Ruhaan.
On the work front, Divya Khossla was last seen in Radhika Rao and Vinay Sapru directorial Yaariyan 2. The movie also stars Meezan Jafri and Pearl V Puri in lead roles.
