Big B: “I’m not hosting NDA’s two-year completion ceremony”

There has been a lot of furore over Amitabh Bachchan being a part of the NDA’s mega shindig that celebrates the government’s completion of two years. The megastar has come under severe criticism from all quarters, with many arguing that with this, Big B becomes a partisan of NDA.

At the music launch of Te3n this afternoon, Big B was questioned about the same. Unlike his daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai who avoided the question (Aishwarya gives the royal ignore to question on Amitabh-Modi connection, May 26), the megastar took it head-on.

Big B replied, “I have been a part of the United Nations mission to save the girl child and I am also the face of ‘Beti Padhao Beti Bachao’ campaign. So I will be at the NDA government’s two-year completion ceremony, but I am not the host. I am only speaking in one of the segments of the function.”

Te3n releases worldwide on June 10. The film alsi stars Vidya Balan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui in lead roles.
