Big B Wants India To Emulate Foreign Countries In Traffic Rules

Despite his busy schedule, Amitabh Bachchan came forward yesterday to support Mumbai Traffic Police's Initiative 'Ride for Safety'.

Speaking at a function organised by the city's police to create better awareness of traffic rules, the legendary actor said: "Whenever I go abroad I see the traffic system is very systematic and I start respecting that country. Aur agar videsh se yahan koi aaye toh usse bhi aisa hi lagna chahiye. We cannot leave everything on police force. We must contribute too.

When I see someone breaking any traffic rule, I stop my car and explains to the person decently. Everyone should do that.

Take my face and voice if it is helpful. Make ads with me, and make them go viral.

Aur haan, helmet ki pratha jo shuru hui hai vo kaayam rehni chahiye. I often see youngsters not wearing helmets. It happens when you are young and enthusiastic but I would request all of them to wear helmets while riding. I have seen people using mobile phones and ear phones while driving. All these things can cause accidents. Young people are Independent- but should follow the rules."

Well said, Sir.
