Rumours of model Asim Riaz making his Bollywood debut with Salman Khan’s Kick 2 have been doing the rounds for quite some time now. Speculations were on the rise that Salman would launch the ex-Bigg Boss contestant with a sequel to his 2014 released film that went on to become one of the highest-grossers of that time. Now, the makers of Kick 2 have rubbished the rumours clarifying Asim is not a part of the film and that they are working on the script.

Producer Sajid Nadiadwala took to Twitter to shut down all such speculations. His production house Nadiadwala Grandson’s official page denied the reports and tweeted, “We are working on our script for #Kick2 and this news is NOT TRUE! Earlier, a report in Free Press Journal claimed that Asim Riaz is making his debut with Kick 2 where he played a pivotal role. A source was quoted saying, “The film will release in 2024 and official announcement about Asim's role in the film will be made soon.” Sharing an update about the sequel film, Sajid Nadiadwala had earlier told PTI, “We are yet to lock the female co-star post which we will start working on the shoot dates. Kick 2 will happen in December 2021, I am in a process to finish writing the script.”

Meanwhile, Asim Riaz rose to fame with his stint on Salman Khan-hosted reality show Bigg Boss 14 where he found love in Punjabi actress Himanshi Khurana.
