Bigg Boss OTT: Shabana Azmi Reacts After Netizens Relate Evicted Contestant Urfi Javed to Javed Akhtar; Says 'Stop Spreading Lies'
Urfi Javed has been the talk of the town, after she was seen in a denim cropped jacket paired with bralette and blue jeans at the airport.
Bigg Boss OTT contestant Urfi Javed made it to the headlines after she was spotted dressed unusually at the airport. A few netizens also linked her to veteran lyricist-screenwriter Javed Akhtar. Social media users called Urfi Shabana-Javed Akhtar's granddaughter and mocked the Hindi television actress for her revealing airport look.
Now, Javed Akhtar's wife and talented actress Shabana Azmi has issued a clarification and asserted that Urfi isn't related to them.
In a tweet on Wednesday evening, Azmi wrote, "Urfi Javed is not related to us in any way."

Meanwhile, Urfi addressed the rumours about her connection with Javed Akhtar and told The Quint, “It’s really funny that people are connecting me with Javed (Akhtar) because of my last name."
The social media influencer was seen in a denim cropped jacket paired with bralette and blue jeans at the airport. Netizens slammed Urfi claiming it to be a publicity stunt. To this end, Urfi told Bombay Times, "I would have gone without clothes if I needed publicity.”
She continued, “It’s just who I am, and if that creates publicity then good for me. There is so much more to me than my clothes! Why don’t people talk about me as an individual? I have realised that no matter what I post, people will say things. Be it a bikini or a salwar-suit, there are nasty comments always."
Urfi Javed was the first Bigg Boss OTT contestant to be eliminated from the show. She had no connection in the house as her partner Zeeshan Khan chose Divya agarwal over her to build a connection.
