Bihar SP Quarantined By BMC To Be Released; Vinay Tiwari To Travel Back To Patna As CBI Takes Over Sushant Singh Rajput Death Probe
After Sushant Singh Rajput's father KK Singh filed an FIR against Rhea Chakraborty and also levelled several allegations against the actress, Bihar police flew down to Mumbai to investigate the case. A few days later, IPS officer Vinay Tiwari also arrived in Mumbai but was quarantined by the BMC. There were also some reports stating that Vinay Tiwari's quarantine will go on till August 15. Later, the Bihar DGP wrote to BMC commissioner requesting him to release quarantined Bihar's IPS who arrived in Mumbai to investigate late Sushant Singh Rajput’s case. Now, the latest development in the case suggests that the BMC released IPS officer Vinay Tiwari, who was 'forcefully quarantined' on Friday as the case will now be handled by CBI.

According to Republic, the IPS officer has to leave the state today itself before 8 August. The portal even carried a statement which refers to a letter to Bihar ADG (HQ) IPS Jitendra Kumar, Additional Municipal Commissioner P Velsaru where he said, "It is surprising and unfortunate to note that a visiting officer before proceeding to Maharashtra has not acquainted himself of the COVID quarantine guidelines issued by the Government of Maharashtra to arrest the spread of COVID pandemic in the state." The BMC said that they are "exempting Mr Vinay Tiwari from home quarantine subject to fulfilling the following conditions."

As per the reports, he shall leave Maharashtra before 8th of August 2020. He shall provide the return ticket details to this office at amc.projects@mcgm.gov.in. He shall travel to the Airport in a private car while taking all the necessary precautions.
