Blackbuck Poaching Case: Jodhpur Court Asks Salman Khan To Attend The Next Hearing After He Gives The Last One A Miss
It was in the month of April 2018 that Salman Khan was convicted in the blackbuck poaching case by the Jodhpur Court. The superstar was sentenced to five years of imprisonment; however, he was out on bail and reportedly filed an appeal in the district court against his imprisonment by the trial court. A recent hearing for the same took place on December 19, 2019, i.e, yesterday, but Salman Khan gave it a miss. As per a report in Time of India, the Jodhpur Court’s judged has asked the actor to be present during the next hearing.

The report added that the date hasn’t been decided as of now by the court. In the year 1998, during the shooting for Hum Saath Saath Hai, a total of three cases were filed against actor Salman Khan. The Bharat actor was accused of poaching antelopes of endangered species in Bhagoda ki Dhani in Kankani village near Jodhpur. Salman’s co-stars - Saif Ali Khan, Tabu, Neelam and Sonali Bendre accompanied him in the alleged vehicle used by the actor to hunt the endangered species. (ALSO READ - Dabangg 3: Salman Khan's Birthday Comes Early; Badnaam Munna Cuts Cake With Fans)




Saif, Tabu, Neelam and Sonali were acquitted, while Salman was charged under Section 51 of the Wildlife Protection Act, others were under Section 51 and Section 149 [unlawful assembly] of the IPC.
