Blast From The Past: When Aamir Khan Said ‘Shah Rukh Is Licking My Feet And I Am Feeding Him Biscuits’
Before being best of buddies in Bollywood, Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan had been rivals as latter had named his dog SRK. However, 3 Idiots actor apologised and have let bygones be bygones now
Aamir Khan is once again making headlines, but this time not for his upcoming movies or good deeds, but for his statement he had made in 2008. Not many know, Aamir Khan and Shah Rukh Khan’s friendship has seen its share of ups and downs. The superstars, who are now good buddies of Bollywood, had been in the news for all the wrong reasons. Dates back to ages, Aamir Khan was the centre of news when he had referred the Jab Tak Hai Jaan actor’s name as his dog's. It so happened, when the 3 Idiots actor had taken to his blog and said that SRK is licking my feet.
In his blog in 2008, Aamir Khan had written, “I'm sitting under a tree, on the edge of a valley, approximately 5000 feet above sea level... Ammi, Ira and Junaid are by my side and we are in the middle of one of our favourite board games. Shahrukh is licking my feet and I am feeding him biscuits every now and then. What more can I ask for?” In no time, the superstar’s action irked SRKians and he was slammed left, right and centre for writing such a nasty thing in his blog.
The issue blew so much that SRK stated that his kids were a huge Aamir Khan fan, however after his harsh comments, they aren’t anymore. Later during one of the Aap Ki Aadalat episodes, Aamir clarified, “There is a dog who has been named after Shah Rukh by his caretakers since they are a huge fan.” He went on to apologies to SRK and his family saying that he didn’t intend to hurt anyone’s sentiment. Cut short, both Khans have let bygones be bygones now and they continue to share a cordial relationship.

On the professional front, SRK, who was last seen in Aanand L Rai’s Zero, is yet to make an official announcement of his upcoming project, while Aamir Khan, who was last seen in Thugs Of Hindostan in 2018, is shooting for Laal Singh Chaddha.
