One such incident took place when back in 2009, when wife Twinkle Khanna’s act with husband Akshay Kumar became of point of discussion and courted controversy. Akshay Kumar and Twinkle Khanna became the talking point of the town when they were arrested for performing an obscene act in public.
It so happened when the Kesari actor was walking down the ramp at Lakme Fashion show and he suddenly jumped and stood in front of his wife. Twinkle, who was sitting in the audience in the front row, was as surprised to see the actor as others were. Soon after he stopped in front of his wife, the Kesari actor asked her to unbutton his jeans. However, Twinkle first hesitated but later obliged to her husband. The video of their act had not only gone viral but had also created a stir on social media.
So much so that the star couple’s act was found disturbing and obscene by many people, following which a social activist filed a complaint against the couple. Soon Akshay and Twinkle were arrested for obscenity in public. And both were later released on bail. Akshay walked away with a clean chit (in spite of it being his idea for Twinkle to unbutton his pants), Twinkle got fined Rs 500. Twinkle and Akshay had later apologized for their performing the controversial act in public.
