Bollywood Stars Mourn The Death of Pop Icon George Michael

He started as part of the pop group Wham! which gave us hits like Last Christmas and Wake Me Up Before You Go and then became a pop legend and a sex symbol in the '90s. So when the world woke up the morning after Christmas to the shocking news that George Michael had died aged 53, the response was an outpour of grief on Twitter which made the hashtag #RIPGeorgeMichael trend worldwide.
Our Bollywood celebs too were at the forefront of the mourners and took to Twitter to express themselves. From Dia Mirza to Abhishek Bachchan, Varun Dhawan, Shekhar Kapur, Bipasha Basu and Priyanka Chopra who sent her condolences to his family, they all had memories to share of George Michael.
Michael who sold more than 100 million albums in a career spanning three decades, “passed away peacefully” at home in Oxfordshire, according to his publicist. His manager, Michael Lippman, said the singer had died from heart failure in bed.
Michael, who was set to release a documentary in 2017, rose to fame as half of Wham! In the ‘80s. And then launched a highly successful solo career that included evergreen hits like Careless Whisper, Faith, Father Figure and Freedom.
