The cult superhero film Mr. India, starring Anil Kapoor, late actors Sridevi and Amrish Puri, was a hit. It was directed by Shekhar Kapur and jointly produced by Boney Kapoor and Surinder Kapoor. On Wednesday, Boney took to Instagram to share unseen photos of Anil Kapoor, Srivedi, Amrish Puri and team as he recalled the first day of shooting the film.
The ace filmmaker shared a video featuring BTS moments of the cast and crew from the sets of the iconic film. One of the photos shows Sridevi and Boney Kapoor discussing something. It also features Anil and Sridevi rehearsing with Saroj Khan.
Sharing the video, Boney wrote in the caption, "It was this day in 1985 that we started shooting for Mr India, sharing some moments from the making of the film." Reacting to this, designer Manish Malhotra wrote, "Super film". Aftab Shivdasani wrote, "Can never forget those days Boney ji, timeless. Thank you for this cult film." Recently, Boney Kapoor made headlines as he shared an unseen pic of his late wife wherein she was seen celebrating the Durga Puja festival. In the photo, Sridevi is wearing a saree. She has 'Boney' written on her back. The filmmaker shared the photo and wrote in the caption, "In Lucknow celebrating one of the festivities of Durga Puja at Sahara Sahar in year 2012." Manish Malhotra commented, "Miss the smile and the laughter.. miss ma'am."
