Brahmastra: Ranbir Kapoor Plays A DJ With Fire Flowing Through His Palms

Ayan Mukerji's Brahmastra, starring Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, is been eagerly awaited by fans on Dec 20, 2019. The trilogy is about superpowers, and what not. Although the makers are trying hard to keep the plot of the film under wraps, a recent report in Mid-day, spills out a few deets about Ranbir Kapoor's role.
According to the leading tabloid, Ranbir will play a DJ in the film, who runs away from his house, in pursuit of his dreams. It is during his journey when he finds out about his superpowers. The report also states that Ranbir's superpower will flow through his palm, as fire. Reportedly, Ranbir has undergone immense training for the film. He learnt Indian martial arts like Kalaripayattu and Varma Kalai.

The film, which had a mega launch of its logo at Kumbh Mela, 2019 in Prayagraj, also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Dimple Kapadia, Mouni Roy and Nagarjuna Akkineni. Mouni Roy is playing the role of the antagonist in the film.
A few minutes back, we had told you how Alia, while talking to Firstpost had confessed that she literally pleaded to Ayan Mukerji, to cast her opposite Ranbir in Brahmastra. Alia told the website, "The idea for Brahmastra was conceived long back when Ayan (Mukerji, director) had just done Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani. I wanted to work with him and I have always wanted to work with Ranbir as well. I pleaded to Ayan that please cast me with him. All these films happened may be because the timing was just perfect and universe had come together to make it happen. But I have always gone with my instinct with all my films, even with Raazi or Udta Punjab.”
