While a few industry sources say that Singh was asked to leave, as FOX suffered major loses in the recent past, other say that Vijay has himself taken the decision to quit.
The last film presented by FOX Star Studios was Baaghi 3. Though the film has opened this year's biggest opening till now, but it is made with a budget of 130-140 crore (approx) and has been bought by FOX at a cost of around Rs 160 cr. Certainly, there is no way the movie is recovering that whopping amount.
Other films by the banner which failed to rake moolahs were Panga, Chhapaak, Kalank and Ek Ladki Ko Dekha To Aaisa Laga. Alarm bells rung for Vijay when Kalank and Ek Ladki Ko bombed back to back.
It is yet not certain that Vijay Singh will serve notice period or not. Also, it remains to be seen who will come in place of Vijay Singh as the CEO of Fox Star Studios.
