Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case several twists and turns in the last few weeks, and a drug angle was reported after alleged WhatsApp chats retrieved from Rhea Chakraborty’s phone hinted at a conversation about procuring drugs. The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has been investigating, and on Friday Rhea’s brother Showik and Sushant’s house manager Samuel Miranda were arrested. Rhea Chakraborty was also interrogated by the NCB for three days and the latest reports coming in state that the actress has been arrested.

According to Republic, Rhea Chakraborty has now been arrested by the NCB in the drugs probe. The actress had appeared before the NCB for questioning on Sunday, Monday and today. Meanwhile, on Saturday, Rhea Chakraborty’s father Indrajit Chakraborty issued a statement after his son Showik was arrested. The statement read, “Congratulations India, you have arrested my son, I'm sure next on the line is my daughter and I don't know who is next thereafter. You have effectively demolished a middle class family. But of course, for the sake of justice, everything is justified. Jai hind,” as quoted by NDTV.

Earlier, before Rhea’s arrest, the actress’ lawyer Satish Maneshinde had said in a statement that Rhea was ready for arrest and that it is a ‘witch-hunt’. He mentioned that she did not approach any court for an anticipatory bail in all the cases foisted by Bihar Police with CBI, ED and the NCB.




Sushant Singh Rajput’s father KK Singh had filed an FIR in Patna, in July, accusing Rhea Chakraborty of abetment of Sushant’s suicide. He also leveled other serious allegations against Rhea.
