Broken Horses Is Parinda Reborn

A close friend of Vidhu Vinod Chopra has revealed a very interesting fact about his Vidhu's upcoming film Broken Horses

SpotboyE.com has it that Broken Horses is an adaption of Vidhu’s 1999 acclaimed film Parinda.

Both the films have brothers as protagonist involved with violent gangsters.

Buzz is, Chopra showed Parinda to potential investors in the west. And looks like they were super impressed.

Parinda is a 1989 crime drama considered by many to be the turning point in reality in Hindi cinema, as the theme of the film discusses the real life of Indian underworld gangsters and the general life of residents in the city of Mumbai. The film starred Jackie Shroff, Anil Kapoor, Nana Patekar and Madhuri Dixit in the lead roles. It won two National Film Awards and was India's official entry for the 199 Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film.

Broken Horses stars Maria Valverde, Thomas Jane, Anton Yelchin, Vincent D'Onofrio and Sean Patrick Flanery. The film is set against the drug war in the turbulent American-Mexican border. The story revolves around two brothers- a concert-level violinist and a hired mercenary- and how wrong choices can destroy lives and everything one loves.

Broken Horses marks the first time an Indian filmmaker has written, produced and directed a mainstream Hollywood film. Fox Star Studios is distributing and marketing the film in India.

So there you go Broken Horses is Parinda only with a few modifications.
