The Enforcement Directorate stepped in after late Sushant Singh Rajput's father KK Singh alleged in his FIR against Rhea Chakraborty that there were financial irregularities in bank accounts of his late son. After summoning and interrogating Samuel Miranda, Sushant Singh Rajput's house manager for over nine hours, today the ED called in Sushant Singh Rajput's girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty for interrogation. Earlier in the day, Rhea sent out a request to postpone the recording of her statement by ED until the Supreme Court's next hearing, however, her request was rejected.
Rhea Chakraborty has now reached the Enforcement Directorate office in Mumbai to record her statement. This is for the first time that the actress has made an appearance after her interrogation at Bandra Police station. Rhea was escorted by her brother Showik Chakraborty to the ED office. Reportedly, ED is expected to question Rhea about the two property deals that she recently carried out.
After Sushant's father filed an FIR against Rhea in Patna, the actress had filed a plea in the Supreme Court seeking the transfer of the FIR from Bihar Police to Mumbai Police. However, now the case has gone to the CBI. The Bihar Government requested the Centre to launch a CBI Probe in Sushant Singh Rajput's death case and the request was accepted.
