Bunty Aur Babli 2: Saif Ali Khan And Rani Mukerji Starrer To Hit The Big Screens This Christmas; Filmmaker Are In Talks

After the plans of releasing Ranveer Singh-Deepika Padukone starrer '83 on Christmas was dropped, the makers of Rani Mukerji and Saif Ali Khan starrer Bunty Aur Babli 2 are eyeing for the festive slots. Reportedly, the talks on the same are still underway

As the theatres are now reopening after being closed for nearly 7-8 months, the distributors and producers are on full swing planning to release the films on the big screens accordingly. Having said that Sooryavanshi will be releasing in the first quarter of 2021 while reportedly, the release date of Kabir Khan's '83 has also been pushed further for next year, leaving the Christmas 2020 window open. After the plans of releasing Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone starrer '83 on Christmas was dropped, the makers of Rani Mukerji and Saif Ali Khan starrer Bunty Aur Babli 2 are eyeing for the festive slots. Reportedly, the makers are planning to release Bunty Aur Babli 2 this Christmas, thinking it would be an ideal festival outing. 
 
A source close to the development told Mid Day, "Considering Bunty Aur Babli 2 is a light-hearted con caper, the makers feel it would be an ideal festival outing. The Christmas window is empty after the team of Ranveer Singh's 83 decided to push its release to 2021. However, the talks are at a nascent stage. They will arrive at a decision in the coming weeks." The sequel also stars Gully Boy fame Siddhant Chaturvedi and newcomer Sharvari Wagh while Rani will be reprising her role whereas Saif will be filling in the spot of Abhishek (the OG Bunty) 
 
Talking about Abhishek not reprising his role, Rani said that things didn’t work out with him and mentioned that she will miss him dearly.
