Vijay Deverakonda is popularly known for his film Arjun Reddy which was remade as Kabir Singh in Bollywood. The actor has been thrilled with his latest film Dear Comrade and the love it has been receiving from audiences. The latest buzz is that, south director Puri Jagannath has roped in Vijay Deverakonda for his next and Janhvi Kapoor might star opposite the Dear Comrade star.

About a couple of days back, an announcement of Vijay Deverakonda’s next film was made as he was collaborating with director Puri Jagannath for a film. The film will be produced by Jagannath and Charmme Kaur under the banners of Puri Connects and Puri Jagannath Touring Talkies. A recent report in Tollywood net states that Jagannath has plans to cast a Bollywood actress opposite Vijay Deverakonda. As the name has not been revealed yet, the name that has been coming up is of Janhvi Kapoor, who claims to be a huge fan of the Dear Comrade actor. During her debut appearance on Karan Johar’s talk show Koffee With Karan, the Dhadak actress had revealed her fondness for the south star. The question still remains, until the news is confirmed by the director as it would be interesting to see Janhvi cast opposite Vijay.

Janhvi who made her debut with Shashank Khaitan's Dhadak co-starring Ishaan Khatter has been currently prepping for the next schedule of Kargil Girl, a biopic based on IAF pilot Gunjan Saxena. As Janhvi has also films RoohiAfza, Takht and Dostana 2 in her kitty, only time can tell if the actress accepts the offer and features opposite her favourite south star.
