Ever since
Anurag Kashyap, Vikramaditya Motwane and Vikas Bahl have professionally parted
ways with Phantom being dissolved, there have been rumours of a rift between
the former partners. However, Anurag has repeatedly clarified that they still
share cordial relationship with each other.

But, now as per
reports, Anurag Kashyap and Vikramaditya Motwane have been shooting separately
for Netflix’s upcoming series Sacred Games. Saif Ali Khan and Radhika Apte are
being directed by Vikramaditya Motwane, while Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s parts are
being shot by Anurag Kashyap.
Nawazuddin Siddiqui Plays The Role Of A Gangster In Sacred Games
As per a leading
newspaper, the directors have split their duties and have been shooting
separately. A source from the unit told the newspaper, “Vikramaditya is
directing the portions that feature Saif and Radhika, while Anurag and Nawaz
are shooting separately,"
When quizzed
whether splitting the duties hints at a rift between the two, the source said,
“It was always supposed to be this way. Nawaz shares a better equation with
Anurag and naturally, the latter will be able to extract better performance from
him. Saif and Vikramaditya have never worked together, so they will explore
their creative energies,”

The source
further went on to explain that the move saves a lot of time and money. The
show will be streamed by the end of the year. Nonetheless, the two units will
be combined post September 15 to shoot a few important scenes between
Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Saif Ali Khan. “It has already been decided between
Anurag and Vikramaditya that the latter will be taking charge of those scenes.”
told the source to the leading newspaper.
Saif Ali Khan
will be essaying the role of Sartaj Singh, a cop while Nawazuddin Siddiqui will
be playing a local gangster.
