Actress Smriti Kalra is currently enjoying the spotlight with her recent success in the debut film Cash. The film was recently released on Disney+Hotstar. According to sources being the professional that she is, the actress modulated her voice to fit the character to the core. Not just this, she has also changed her mannerisms, her body language, the way she sat, the way she walked, and her posture to fit the character.
Smriti says "To portray any character successfully you have to be that character. You have to live it, breathe it and that is exactly what I did for my role in Cash as Neha. I modulated my voice and deepened it to fit my character as Neha who is an alpha. I also worked on my mannerisms, body language, the way I sat, and the way I walked to do justice to my role. My character is the exact opposite of what I am in real life, Neha is an extrovert and Jugaadu whereas I am an introvert and shy. So to modulate my voice for Neha along with changes in other character nuances was very important for me as an actor. I feel being an RJ earlier really helped me modulate my voice. People usually say that I have a very expressive voice, so I consciously deepened my voice and flattened it to suit Neha as she speaks cut to cut and to the point."
