The Year 2021 has been quite tragic for the Indian film and television industry as we lost many popular celebrities. There were a number of tragic and untimely deaths that shook the world to its core. From legendary actor, Dilip Kumar, veteran actress Surekha Sikri, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah fame Ghanshyam Nayak, Anupam Shyam, Rajiv Kapoor to Sidharth Shukla, many celebs bid us goodbye this year. Although they are in 'other world' now, they will continue to live in our hearts forever.
Starting with Dilip Kumar, the actor passed away on July 7, at the age of 98. The veteran actor was hospitalized due to age-related illnesses. With a storied career, Kumar was regarded as one of the greatest actors that we ever had in the Film industry.
Sidharth Shukla-The sudden and tragic demise of the Bigg Boss 13 winner left everyone heartbroken and numb. He breathed his last at the age of 40 on September 2. He reportedly died of a massive heart attack in the wee hours, in his rumoured ladylove Shehnaaz Gill’s lap. Doctors at Mumbai's Cooper Hospital reportedly declared Sidharth Shukla brought dead.
Raj Kaushal- Mandira Bedi's husband Raj Kaushal died on June 30 after suffering a cardiac arrest. Kaushal is known for directing movies, ‘Pyaar Mein Kabhi Kabhi’ and Shaadi Ka Laddoo.
Surekha Sikri- Veteran actress Surekha Sikri left for her heavenly abode at the age of 75 after suffering a cardiac arrest. The Balika Vadhu
actress had been unwell for several months. In 2020, she had suffered a brain stroke.
Apart from these celebs, the younger brother of Randhir Kapoor and the late Rishi Kapoor, Rajiv, actor Amit Mistry, Bikramjeet Kanwarpal, Ramayan actor Chandrakant Pandya, Veer producer Vijay Galani and others passed away this year.
