Chhapaak Celeb Review: Yami Gautam, Genelia, Riteish Deshmukh Moved By Deepika Padukone And Vikrant Massey’s Performance

Post the screening, Yami Gautam, Riteish Deshmukh, Genelia D’Souza, Kunal Kapoor, Neil Nitin Mukesh and Jackky Bhagnani were all praise for the film and were deeply moved by the performances of the stars

Chhapaak, directed by Meghna Gulzar and starring Deepika Padukone and Vikrant Massey, is all set to hit the big screens soon enough. But before that, the premiere of Chhapaak was held last night and it was a star-studded event attended by Bollywood celebrities like Rekha, Manish Malhotra, Javed Akhtar, Riteish Deshmukh, Genelia D'Souza and many others. Deepika Padukone was accompanied by her hubby Ranveer Singh and also present at the premiere was Laxmi Agarwal, the acid attack survivor on whom the film is based.

Post the screening of Chhapaak, celebrities present to watch the film took to Twitter and showered praises to the film. Yami Gautam, Riteish Deshmukh, Genelia D’Souza, Kunal Kapoor, Neil Nitin Mukesh and Jackky Bhagnani were deeply moved by the performances of Deepika Padukone and Vikrant Massey, calling the film a gem. They also thanked Meghna Gulzar and lauded her for choosing to make a film on such an important topic. Neil Nitin Mukesh tweeted, “Just walked out of the premier of #Chappak it is by far one of the most hard hitting films I have ever seen. @meghnagulzarJi . This is a gem. FANTASTIC writing and direction. Brilliant performances by all. @masseysahib your simplicity is indeed magnetic Amol Ji.”

Chhapaak, starring Deepika Padukone and also Vikrant Massey will hit the big screens on January 10, 2019. The film is based on the real-life story of acid-attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal.
