Chhapaak: Richa Chadha Comes To Deepika Padukone's Defense; Hits At A Troll Talking About Last-Min Changes In Film
Deepika Padukone's Chhapaak is trending on social media and not for good reasons. Post the actress's visit to JNU, people are trending #boycottchhapaak on Twitter. Then there were reports of the acid attacker's name and religion being changed in the film. Fake news suggesting that makers changed Nadeem Khan (attacker) to Rajesh in the film. Social media went abuzz discussing the same but it got later revealed that in the film, the attacker's name is Bashir and not Rajesh. Now, a troll stated that makers are making the changes overnight, to which, Richa Chadha has responded.

Richa took to Twitter to give it back to the user and wrote, "Why do ppl come forward to prove their stupidity everyday ? Why? Without understanding the technical aspect? So they changed his name and also, lip movements, the clothes his mother’s wearing? Inki suno to #Chapaak is a science fiction film. And stop lying, you have no friends." The makers or Deepika have not spoken on the controversy, and rather are looking forward to the release of the film. A premiere was held last evening that saw many stars in attendance. Meanwhile, another controversy that came digging Chhapaak was when the lawyer of Laxmi Agarwal named Aparna Bhat filed a petition in Delhi's Patiala Court calling for a stay on the film's release. This was because the makers did not pay her due credit in the film. The court has however canceled the stay on the film but has ordered the makers to give Aparna Bhat her credit.

Chhapaak release on January 10.
