Coronavirus Outbreak: Rishi Kapoor Says ‘We Need The Military Out’, Suggests Imposing Emergency To Fight COVID-19 Crisis

With the coronavirus crisis and the increasing number of positive COVID-19 cases, a 21-day nationwide lockdown had been announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi a week ago. While the nation is supposed to be on lockdown till April 14, and people are supposed to stay indoors unless it’s an emergency, we still see some of them not taking it seriously. Now, Kapoor has expressed his concern over the current situation and suggested imposing an emergency on the country, and also said that the military should be sent out to control the situation.
Rishi Kapoor took to Twitter on Tuesday, and wrote, “Aaj ye hua kal kya kya hona hai? (This happened today, now what will happen tomorrow?)That is why I said we need the military out. Emergency.” The nationwide number of COVID-19 positive cases have reportedly gone above 1400, with fresh cases being reported from Delhi, Maharashtra, Kerala, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, Jammu and Kashmir, and Bihar. Rishi Kapoor has been constantly tweeting about the coronavirus crisis and had shared a similar tweet on March 26, stressing the need to declare an emergency.
He had written, “Dear fellow Indians. We must and have to declare an EMERGENCY. Look at what’s happening all over the country! If the TV is to believed, people are beating policemen and medical staff! There is no other way to contain the situation. It is only good for all of us. Panic is setting in,"
