Coronavirus Pandemic: After Shah Rukh Khan-Gauri Khan And Virushka, Deepika Padukone-Ranveer Singh Donate To PM-Cares Fund
Following the Coronavirus scare, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh are the latest B-Town celebs to donate to PM-Cares Fund. Earlier in the week, we saw Virat Kohli-Anushka Sharma and Shah Rukh Khan-Gauri Khan make donations to various NGO's working to fight COVID-19
Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh are the latest celebrity couple to join the list of celebs who are donating to PM-Cares Fund. After Akshay Kumar, Anushka Sharma, Virat Kohli, Sara Ali Khan, Kartik Aaryan and Rajkummar Rao among others, DeepVeer have done their bit by supporting PM-Cares Fund. Deepika and Ranveer, however, have not announced the amount they have donated. In their post, both say 'we are all in this together'
The Chhapaak actress announced her contribution on social media in English and Hindi post. Her post read, “In the times like these, every bit counts. We humbly pledge to contribute to the PM-Cares Fund and hope that you will too. We’re all in this together, and we shall overcome. Jai Hind. Deepika and Ranveer.” The same post was uploaded by Ranveer too. Earlier, Akshay Kumar, in his Twitter post, revealed, he has donated Rs 25 crore and his wife Twinkle Khanna said that she’s proud of Khiladi Kumar. Kartik Aaryan, on the other hand, had revealed that he has donated Rs 1 crore to the PM-CARES Fund.
Sara Ali Khan too had taken to social media to announce, “I pledge to donate to the PM CARES Fund and the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (Maharashtra). I urge everyone to do their bit in helping the people of our country. Every contribution counts and solidarity is our only hope against this pandemic.”
