A few days back, Priyanka Chopra had asked his fans and followers to nominate women who are working selflessly to fight the Coronavirus Pandemic. Amid the novel COVID-19, the actress has been doing her bit to create the awareness. She along with her husband Nick Jonas have donated to several organizations including PM CARES Fund, Goonj, Feeding America and others to combat Covid-19. The novel pandemic has reported over 15 lakh cases globally with death toll crossing 87k. India has reported over 5k cases and over 150 deaths have been registered so far.
Taking to Instagram, Peecee announced the names the winners and wrote, “Thank you everyone for nominating such incredible women who are rising above the challenges of today to help others. This week, @bonvivspikedseltzer and I are shining light on 4 women who are truly going above and beyond to make a difference on the front lines. Everyone, please meet… Emily, an APRN working in the ER every day, helping those in need, while also choosing to live apart from her family to keep them safe.
“Jo, who works at a long-term care facility caring for patients and offering them companionship. Jaya, who has generously donated her time and money to help get N95 masks to those on the frontlines. Jenny, thank you for starting your #FeedingHeroes initiative to provide meals to healthcare workers on the front lines. We applaud you and commemorate you. Much love. #TogetherWomenRise,” read her caption further.
To raise the awareness, Peecee along with Big B, Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor and Diljit Dosanjh appeared in a video, which they shot for sitting at their respective homes.
