Day before yesterday, we brought you the story that Dabangg 3 has been shortened by 9.40 seconds, when trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted about the same. What was not known is that what exactly was eliminated.
SpotboyE.com now has the details (EXCLUSIVELY) of the deleted portions. The visuals of the song Dabangg that showed the Gods blessing Chulbul Pandey's character have been deleted. Next, the police station scene in which Chulbul is shown eating watermelon while talking to his associates has been removed. Then, the sequence in which a young Chulbul is helping his mother out from train to reach home has also been chucked out.

Here is the official confirmation of the cuts. Once they were done, the final draft of the film was sent to the Censor Board, who duly passed it. It is now clear that the shortened movie is in effect in theatres from today onward.
Dabangg 3 has not been received with the amount of euphoria, err, hysteria that Salman's films usually do. This is the actor's fourth film in his second innings after Wanted that has received a mixed response- Tubelight, Race 3 and Bharat being the other three.
Will the cuts do any good to improve the fortunes of Dabangg 3? Your guess is as good as ours.
